About The Position

California Rehabilitation Institute, a joint venture with Cedars, UCLA, and Select Medical, is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for day shifts (7:00 am - 7:30 pm). Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. We offer an extensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition and opportunities for advancement. Requirements

• Valid State RN license
• At least one year of RN experience
• BLS required at hire

Nice To Haves

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program
• Clinical experience
• Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Instruct and counsel patients/families
