About The Position
BrightStar Care of Honolulu is seeking two PRN Registered Nurses to join their skilled nursing team. The primary need is for a bowel program client in Ewa Beach with a consistent daily shift from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. This role offers flexible PRN skilled nursing opportunities across their client roster, catering to nurses who desire consistent, meaningful work on a manageable schedule. The position features straightforward electronic documentation and a visit-based workflow, with no OASIS or Medicare charting required. The primary case involves implementing and monitoring a bowel management program, with potential for additional skilled nursing visits such as wound care, medication management, post-discharge monitoring, and clinical assessments.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Hawaii RN license
- BLS certification
- 2 step TB clearance or clear chest X-ray
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (home health, med-surg, rehab, or long-term care)
- Valid Hawaii driver's license and personal auto insurance
- Ability to perform client care tasks and lift up to 50 lbs

- Experience in bowel and bladder management, wound care, geriatrics, home health, or rehabilitation
- Backgrounds in long-term care, post-acute, or spinal cord injury settings

Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized care plans with precision and dignity
- Document clinical findings and communicate changes to the Director of Nursing
- Support client comfort, safety, and well-being during each visit
- Coordinate with the care team to keep care plans current and effective
- One-to-one care every visit.
