About The Position
Candidates will provide stabilization and rehabilitation substance abuse nursing services to clients in a residential setting in accordance with OASAS and Agency rules and regulations. Candidate will participates in weekly Case Conferences including team meetings.
Requirements
- NYS Registered Nurse Certificate
- CPR certification
- Minimum of five years nursing experience
- Experience in the field of alcoholism and substance abuse
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field; or degree in Substance Abuse Counseling.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates/coordinates screening and admission of clients
- Assesses/documents client detoxification progress
- Monitors withdrawal process, motivates clients towards treatment, and assesses their readiness for transition
