About The Position

Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Labor and Delivery team. The nurse uses the nursing process to provide patient care, delegate patient care tasks, and supervise other patient care staff. The role coordinates the plan of care for assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team as needed to support optimal patient outcomes. The clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
• Basic Life Support RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement).
• Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
• Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process.
• Perform patient care, delegate patient care tasks, and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
• Consult with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
