About The Position

The Satellite department at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center consists of 4 Med/Surg, Medical Telemetry units, totaling 34 beds. These units are dedicated to delivering safe and quality care to patients seamlessly, optimizing patient flow and capacity by alleviating pressure on the Emergency Department. The department caters to a diverse patient population experiencing a wide array of acute diagnoses, including (but not limited to) chest pain, pneumonia, electrolyte imbalances, diabetes, cellulitis, trauma injuries, and mental health instabilities. As a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication, you will lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, distinguished for its excellent patient care and medical expertise. CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center, is Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. It also serves as one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training and serving as a satellite for the medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • 6 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication.
