Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients receiving treatment in a supportive and therapeutic environment, within the scope of the nurse’s professional license. The role includes admission assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team, carrying out physician orders, participating in discharge planning, and providing patient comfort, safety, respect, and confidentiality. The position is at Osage Beach Center for Behavioral Health, an 18-bed, freestanding acute psychiatric hospital for adults. The hospital treats mental health illnesses including anxiety, major depression, mood disturbances, and psychosis. Its inpatient acute-care services are designed for individuals in crisis who are 18 or older and meet inpatient criteria. The facility’s mission is to provide specialized, research-based treatment and quality services that meet or exceed the expectations of patients, families, referral sources, payers, and partners.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in Missouri.
- Obtain CPR and CPI certificates within 30 days of hire.
- One year of psychiatric nursing experience or three years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care within the scope of the RN’s license and accepted Missouri standards.
- Conduct admission assessments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans with members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Follow through with physician orders.
- Participate in discharge planning.
- Provide patient comfort, safety, respect, and confidentiality.
- Perform duties in accordance with hospital rules and regulations.
