About The Position

Provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to help them attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. The role is in Medical Oncology Infusion at Avon Seidman and operates Monday through Friday for 72 hours per pay period, scheduled as five 8-hour shifts one week and four 8-hour shifts the next.

The nurse delivers relationship-based care, demonstrates technical competence and safe clinical practice, communicates and collaborates effectively, contributes to professional nursing practice, and displays leadership that supports clinical and operational outcomes. The position also includes other assigned duties, compliance with policies and standards, and safeguarding patient Protected Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

• At least 1 year of RN experience; oncology experience is preferred.
• Diploma in Nursing or an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Ohio and/or Multi State Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required upon hire.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and practice.
• Proficiency using a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies, such as stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices.

Nice To Haves

• Oncology nursing experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Master in Nursing (MN).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), if required by the unit's clinical care standards.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), if required by the unit's clinical care standards.
