About The Position

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Baptist Health Floyd, Emergency Department Observation Unit. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with day shifts (7 am-7 pm). The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department, observing patients expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit care for a variety of patients including those with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider from 7 AM to 5 PM daily to offer support and high-level care. New Graduate RNs are welcome.

Requirements

  • Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.
  • BLS for healthcare provider required.
  • ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
