Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health
About The Position
Denver Springs, a 96-bed behavioral health hospital and part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide care to patients receiving treatment for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric or emotional disorders. The nurse delivers and coordinates general and psychiatric nursing care, supports the multidisciplinary team and unit philosophy of care, and helps ensure patient safety and well-being. The role is a full-time day position, scheduled 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with rotating weekends, on-call duties, and holidays. The pay range is $39.15–$52.85 per hour.
Requirements
- Current Colorado or Compact State Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- PALS certification preferred.
- Handle with Care certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer nursing care to ill or injured persons and provide direct patient care.
- Coordinate and deliver quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for treatment of substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric or emotional disorders.
- Assume direct responsibility for observation, delegation, and leadership of unit staff and patients.
- Serve actively and constructively as a member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting the organization, program, and unit philosophy of care.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.
- Ensure medical orders are followed, initiate and follow treatment planning, and act as a patient advocate.
