About The Position

Provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. This role involves implementing the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care, demonstrating technical skills for safe practice and positive outcomes, and fostering clear communication and effective collaboration for optimal patient care and clinical operations. The position also requires self-development, contributing to the professional practice of nursing, and displaying leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. The nurse must comply with all policies and standards, including those related to the appropriate use and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), and complete annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
  • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices). (Required proficiency)
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Required Upon Hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire.

Nice To Haves

  • (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • (MN) Master in Nursing preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.

Benefits

  • Sign-on Bonus: $6000 sign-on bonus to eligible candidates (newly hired to UH with at least 1yr of RN experience). Internal Applicants are not eligible for the sign on bonus.
