About The Position

The Clare, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Chicago's Gold Coast area, is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for its Skilled Nursing Care Unit. This role involves providing direct nursing care, supervising CNAs, managing resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, administering medications and treatments, and maintaining accurate charting. The RN will ensure high standards of resident care, respond to emergencies, and contribute to the facility's philosophy of quality nursing. The position is located in a luxury residential community.

Requirements

• Current nursing license valid in Illinois
• CPR certified

Nice To Haves

• Greater than 2 years clinical experience preferred.
• One-year long term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises and coordinates the activities performed by the CNAs in order to ensure a high degree of quality care is maintained.
• Responsible for admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
• Administers medications and treatments and maintains proper charting for the unit all in accordance with federal, state and local standards and regulations and department policies and procedures.
• Maintains a high standard of resident care.
• Responds immediately to all crisis and/or calls for assistance.
• Assists in maintaining the facility’s and Nursing Service’s philosophy through quality nursing care.
