About The Position

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse provides care in a medical intensive care setting with estimated patient ratios of 1:1–2. The schedule is 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours), with days and nights rotating every four weeks, or four weeks of days followed by four weeks of nights. The role requires at least two years of Medical ICU experience and EPIC experience. The job description also lists parking permit options and associated costs; these are not described as employer-provided benefits.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience.
• EPIC experience required.
• BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• AHA certifications only.
• Proficiency in starting IVs.
• Experience with telemetry.
• Competency with ventilators.

Nice To Haves

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Proficiency in the EPIC documentation system.
• Specialized experience with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), liver failure, and renal failure.
• Knowledge of NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors, GE ventilators, and the boom lift in each patient room.
