Registered Nurse - Plainfield Cancer Center - Days
About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Plainfield Cancer Center. This full-time position involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in an oncology setting. The role requires utilizing the nursing process, guiding assistive personnel, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a high-quality patient experience. The position is located at the Endeavor Health Cancer Center in Plainfield, IL, with potential to float to Naperville based on scheduling needs. The standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.
- Associate's in Nursing, required.
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association, required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience required; If no oncology experience, ED, ICU, PACU experience highly preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's in Nursing, strongly preferred
- OCN/ONS provider card preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
