This full-time nights position is for a Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health team at Baptist Jacksonville. The role involves providing patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and coordinating care with ancillary services. The nurse will also include patients and their families in the plan of care and educate them on their condition and treatment plan. The position serves as a patient advocate and is responsible for treating patients with various medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic illnesses and minor injuries.

Requirements

1-2 years Behavioral Health Nursing Experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Licensed Registered Nurse Required
This position is designated as requiring a level II Background (A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) and will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Responsibilities

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
