This is a full-time, 12-hour night shift position in the Critical Progressive Care Unit (PCU), also known as a Step-Down Unit (SDU). The PCU bridges the gap between the ICU and general care, where nurses care for complex patients with higher acuity needs, including cardiac drips, post-op recovery, telemetry, and respiratory support. The role involves monitoring, assessing, and responding to patient conditions in real-time, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, educating patients and families, and documenting care in the EHR system. The position offers a supportive onboarding and mentorship program, opportunities for experienced RNs to advance, a tight-knit team culture, and ongoing growth opportunities such as certifications (like PCCN), cross-training, and tuition assistance. Saint Joseph Health System also offers Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement, benefits on day one, a retirement savings account with employer match, generous PTO, and well-being resources.
