About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital Perry uses the nursing process to provide patient care and is professionally accountable for care delivered to assigned patients. The RN evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments. The role also maintains patient rights and confidentiality and performs duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards. This is a full-time night-shift position in Perryville, Missouri.

Requirements

• Graduate from a school of nursing with an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Hold Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successfully complete the course within 30 days of hire.
• Be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

• Depending on the position or unit, one or more additional certifications may be required, or must be obtained within the department-required timeframe: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.
