About The Position

This registered nurse position provides care across both the Obstetric High Risk Unit and Labor & Delivery, with 50% of time spent in each unit. Orientation takes place on both units and is individualized according to the nurse’s experience. The 20-room Obstetric High Risk Unit provides condition-specific care and intensive monitoring for pregnant patients and babies, including patients on bed rest with high blood pressure, preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes, and other pregnancy-related problems. The unit also cares for postpartum patients who need more frequent monitoring or interventions, including those with severe hypertension, sepsis, or postpartum hemorrhage not requiring critical care, as well as patients experiencing perinatal loss. Labor & Delivery provides care in a home-like setting supported by advanced technology. Typical patients include antepartum, observation, outpatient testing, circulating cesarean deliveries, triage, and laboring patients from minimal to high risk. This is a full-time night position working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. After orientation, scheduling will alternate between the two units every other week. Woman’s is a specialty hospital dedicated to women and infants, recognized for patient care, innovative programs, a supportive work environment, and nursing excellence.
