About The Position
Ability Beyond is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide primary care nursing for its adult group home in Beacon, New York, with some flexibility to support its Carmel, New York location. The role is primarily based in the medically acute Howland Avenue program, a residential home for 14 people with intellectual and physical disabilities and medically complex needs. The home provides 24-hour nursing, accessible accommodations, and support from a large staffing team. Residents participate in community outings and sensory stimulation activities. The nurse provides oversight and coordinates care for people with developmental disabilities in residential group home and day program settings. The position includes advocating for high-quality clinical care through teaching, training, and audits; collaborating with direct care staff, physicians, clinical team members, and other caregivers; and overseeing medication administration and care documentation for an assigned caseload. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no on-call responsibilities.
