About The Position

The Infusion Center Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care, in an ambulatory setting, following established standards and practices, for the purpose of preparing and administering infusion therapies. This role involves providing professional nursing care for Infusion Center patients, preparing and administering infusions and like therapies, inserting and maintaining intravenous access, performing phlebotomy, coordinating patient flow, educating patients and families, delegating tasks, and serving as a subject matter expert for patient care. The role requires the ability to work both autonomously and in a team atmosphere, and to provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

MO and KS RN License required
1 year of applicable experience
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Registered Nurse - Various
Associate Degree

Nice To Haves

Previous IV experience is ideal

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for Infusion Center patients following established standards and practices.
Prepare and administer infusions and like therapies in an ambulatory setting.
Insert intravenous access and/or provide maintenance of existing central access.
Perform phlebotomy by venipuncture or existing central access.
Provide patient flow and coordination of care.
Identify learning needs of patients and families, provide advice and recommendations.
Delegate tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
Serve as subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
Provide excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
Other duties as assigned based on clinic need.
