About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care Unit/Hospitalist role at Roper Hospital delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process. This involves data collection and assessment, identifying and prioritizing patient problems and needs, and evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care. The RN also coordinates and provides patient teaching activities and collaborates with health team members to ensure comprehensive care.

Associate of Nursing, nursing (required) OR Diploma in Nursing (required)

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment.
Analyzes assessment data.
Creates a plan of care.
Implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and organization policies and procedures.
Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
