About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, compassionate care that supports patients during recovery and rehabilitation. The nurse uses specialized skills and available technology to help patients work toward their rehabilitation goals in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role includes supervising care and treatments, assessing patients, tailoring care plans, responding to concerns, coordinating with other departments, and providing direct patient care as needed. The nurse also builds relationships with patients and families, serves as a resource to fellow staff, and recognizes patients’ progress and milestones.

Requirements

• Valid RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care and treatments.
• Lead patient assessments, tailor care plans, and address patient concerns.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families and understand their needs to support recovery.
• Collaborate and communicate with various departments to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide direct patient care when needed.
• Serve as a resource for fellow staff on complex patient needs and inquiries.
