About The Position

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services is seeking a Full Time Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program (PRTF) for adolescent females and males at our West Chester, PA location. Our programs provide clinical treatment, educational instruction and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. The role offers a schedule of 6am-10pm every Saturday and Sunday, plus one 8hr shift weekly, with a pay rate of $40 - $45.60/hr. Comprehensive training is provided, including crisis prevention/intervention, trauma informed care, CPR, first aid, and cultural competencies. The ASCEND- Career Accelerator Program offers career guidance, coaching, skills, and financial assistance, including 100% tuition coverage and student loan repayment. Benefit eligibility begins after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D.
• Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• One year of post-education nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions.
• Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
• Valid driver's license must be maintained.

• Provide specialized care to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.
• Ensure adherence to Devereux's zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintain policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse.
