About The Position
The outpatient care unit nurse demonstrates knowledge of endoscopic procedures and oversees and directs care for patients before and after endoscopy. The nurse assesses patients’ overall recovery from endoscopic procedures and conscious sedation and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an NLN-approved program.
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
- Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership abilities.
- Valuable time management skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Previous nursing experience.
