About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. In an outpatient clinic setting, the Clinic RN uses the nursing process, technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination with other health team members. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the physician-led care delivery team and apply specialized knowledge and skills to ambulatory care needs. The role includes prioritizing and triaging care, implementing standing orders and protocols, and performing procedures and therapies consistent with training and licensure. This is a 100% remote, full-time position scheduled for four 10-hour shifts per week, supporting the Lafayette Women's Clinic – Obstetrics and Gynecology. The RN assesses patients' physical, social, and psychological status and gathers information from patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. The RN collaborates to develop individualized plans of care, involve patients and families in education, and plan for follow-up and support needs. The RN directs interdisciplinary care through delegation, coordination, and collaboration, delivers or delegates care consistent with the plan and professional licensure, and manages priorities, time, supplies, and resources. The RN evaluates patient responses and outcomes, revises care plans as indicated, and practices professionally by complying with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards and maintaining accurate, timely documentation.
