About The Position

This role involves providing direct nursing care within the Cardiovascular Imaging department at Ascension St. John Medical Center. The Registered Nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient conditions, serve as a primary coordinator for patient care across disciplines, and carry out physician and nursing orders. Additionally, the nurse will assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
