About The Position
The Cancer and Blood Disorders Clinic at Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their extraordinary team. This clinic utilizes advanced treatments and techniques in the fight against childhood cancer and blood disorders. The team consists of board-certified pediatric hematology and oncology physicians, specialty-trained advanced practice providers and nurses, research coordinators, social workers, research pharmacists, and support staff. The clinic treats various pediatric cancers such as solid tumors, brain tumors, leukemia, and lymphomas, as well as blood disorders including anemia, sickle cell, and hemophilia. The infusion center has 16 chairs, and operating hours are 07:30-18:00, Monday-Friday. Infusion RNs are cross-trained for sedation recovery for sedated procedures and high acuity infusions.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- One year of Nursing experience
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
