About The Position

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients. The RN evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care with other departments. The position also safeguards patient rights and confidentiality and performs responsibilities consistently with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

This is a full-time Respiratory (Bronchoscopy) position at Mercy South in St. Louis, Missouri. The schedule is days, 36 hours per week across three shifts during Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Graduate from a school of nursing; an associate degree, diploma, or BSN is accepted.
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure for the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Hold Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, or successfully complete the course within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient experience, preferably in ICU, stepdown, or ER; several years of floor experience will also be considered.
