Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse
About The Position
Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), is seeking experienced Clinic Registered Nurses (RNs) for a long-term contract assignment at Hopi Health Care Center. This opportunity allows you to provide high-quality outpatient care to patients of all ages while gaining valuable experience in a unique healthcare environment. The role is fully onsite in an outpatient clinic setting serving patients of all ages. The credentialing process may take up to 90 days. Previous IHS experience is preferred, and previous travel experience is helpful. Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services follows an Indian Preference Policy, giving preference to qualified Native American candidates.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (ADN or BSN required)
- Minimum 2-3 years of RN experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Outpatient/Urgent care experience
- Must be experienced with all ages
- Must be a U.S. citizen living primarily in the United States
- Must be able to pass a federal security clearance
- Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with EHR systems required
- Required immunizations must be up to date
Nice To Haves
- Previous IHS experience
- Previous travel experience
- ACLS & PALS preferred
- Previous IHS experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide direct outpatient nursing care to patients of all ages.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Coordinate patient care, follow-up needs, and referrals.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to providers and the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care while following established clinical policies and procedures.
