HEART & VASCULAR CENTER (HVC) - REGISTERED NURSE (RN), Full-time Days
About The Position
Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Nurse (RN) for our Heart & Vascular Center. Under general direction and in accordance with hospital standards and policies, the Staff Nurse will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing procedures in the Heart & Vascular Center and Radiology Departments. This includes areas such as Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Stress Testing. As a Staff Nurse, you must be flexible and adaptable to work variable hours based on patient schedules. While call time is anticipated in the future, you may also be required to start early or stay late as patient needs dictate.
Requirements
- Current RN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Completion of ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Demonstrated critical care knowledge and skills, particularly in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
- Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythm strips.
- High-level proficiency in obtaining and maintaining peripheral vascular access.
- Strong professional conduct, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- CCU (Coronary Care Unit) experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- Specialization in a cardiovascular-related specialty is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing procedures in the Heart & Vascular Center and Radiology Departments.
- Provide nursing care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
- Obtain and maintain peripheral vascular access.
- Interpret cardiac rhythm strips.
