About The Position

Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide tele-health assessment, monitoring, and on-site clinical support for the CDC's Occupational Health Clinics. This role requires expertise in occupational health, emergency response, and medical examinations. This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered. As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a U.S. citizen.

Requirements

  • Graduate or higher-level degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or other recognized accrediting body.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health or related clinical settings.
  • Experience in performing diagnostic tests and administering treatments in a clinical environment.
  • Experience in emergency response and managing health incidents.
  • Strong clinical skills in providing occupational health services.
  • Proficiency in using medical record software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass the pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
  • Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational health care, including medical examinations, clearances, and first aid services.
  • Implement routine and emergency occupational health services.
  • Perform nursing interventions, including surveillance, medical clearance exams, pre-travel consultations, and non-occupational incident management.
  • Administer immunizations, tuberculin skin tests, spirometry testing, vision tests, and 12-lead electrocardiograms.
  • Conduct phlebotomies and other diagnostic testing interventions.
  • Document interventions in the CDC’s electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain on-site stock of medications and participate in quality assurance/quality improvement activities.
  • Support CDC staff during public health emergencies through monitoring and consultation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
