About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide support to patients in an outpatient dialysis center. The role involves caring for patients and families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease, building long-term patient and family relationships, and delivering individualized care to patients with multiple co-morbidities. Nurses oversee a group of patients with support from patient care technicians (PCTs), conducting patient observations, measuring statistics, and setting up dialysis machines. The work takes place in a fast-paced environment.

The nurse will float to various clinics throughout the Indianapolis area, with mileage compensation provided. The schedule is 3–4 days per week, with shifts of 10–14 hours and start times as early as 4:00 a.m. There is no on-call work, overnight work, or work on major holidays. Dialysis experience is not required; DaVita provides paid on-the-job training for the first 10 weeks. Growth opportunities include Home Therapies, Charge Nurse, and Nurse Preceptor roles.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) required.
• Dialysis experience is not required; paid on-the-job training is provided for the first 10 weeks.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) preferred.
• Previous Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Unit, Emergency Room, Medical Surgical, or dialysis experience is a plus.
