The Registered Nurse (RN) provides inpatient care to adult patients in Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital’s Inpatient Rehab Unit. Patients are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions that require intensive therapy. The RN develops and implements individualized care plans with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals; administers medications, IV therapy, and prescribed pain-management interventions; monitors patients for complications, infections, or changes in condition and responds appropriately to emergencies; and assists patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living to promote functional independence. This is a part-time position for 24 hours per week on night shifts, with rotating every-other-weekend and holiday coverage. Pay is $37.25–$61.75 per hour, based on RN experience and potentially varying by location. Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital is Connecticut's only freestanding acute care rehabilitation hospital and the state's largest provider of these services. Its programs include traumatic brain injury, stroke and neurological rehabilitation, sports medicine, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedics.
