About The Position

Sentara Ob/GYN is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Harrisonburg, VA. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role involves assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care responsibility within a collaborative surgical practice dedicated to exceptional patient care and professional growth. Opportunities for advancement into leadership or to a higher level of care in various settings are available. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. BSN or MSN is preferred.

Requirements

  • Current Virginia RN License or Compact Multistate RN License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
  • RN Diploma, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care – ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.
  • Women's Care – Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire.
  • Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
