About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit at Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The Progressive Care Unit is a 19-bed, high acuity progressive department that serves patients from all of CMC’s ICUs, the ED, and occasional rapid responses. The RN will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• At least 6 months of RN experience (not for new graduates)
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS Required within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
