About The Position
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our hospital team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, planned nursing care, support physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and ensure exceptional patient experiences. While primarily based in the hospital, you will also cross-train and float to the Nursing Home as needed to support continuity of care across settings.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Valid Illinois RN license
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Nice To Haves
- ICU experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Promote teamwork to enhance patient experience and quality of care
- Deliver nursing care based on patient needs
- Assess and document patient status accurately
- Carry out treatments and physician orders
- Assist with patient positioning and transport
- Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedures
- Record treatments, notes, and updates in patient charts to ensure clear communication
- Adapt to new ideas, workflows, and care approaches
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and drips as ordered
- Complete patient discharges per physician direction
- Participate in in-service training, quality assurance activities, and continuing education
