About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working the Midshift (1 PM - 1 AM) at Glenmary Freestanding ED/UC. The RN is responsible for implementing the nursing process for assigned patients of all ages, adhering to Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies. The role involves promoting positive patient outcomes, delivering quality care, and contributing to a healthy professional practice environment through active involvement in shared governance councils. The RN utilizes critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and nursing judgment, collaborating with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes and serves as a role model through continuous professional development and lifelong learning.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN License
• BCLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/reassessment
• Develops plan of care utilizing appropriate evidence based standards of care.
• Provides care consistent with policies, procedures, current evidence based professional standards of practice and Baptist Health Louisville’s nursing mission, vision, values and model of care.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment
• Applies critical thinking, clinical reasoning, organizational and leadership skills.
