About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This role involves coordinating care planning with other disciplines and providing direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. The RN is expected to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include safely, rapidly, and accurately triaging every patient entering the ED, determining care priorities based on physical and psychosocial needs, and managing patient flow. The role also requires communicating with physicians about patient status changes, symptomatology, and diagnostic study results, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. The ability to use equipment specific to the Emergency Department is also essential.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current Registered Nurse New Jersey State license.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS and/or, ENPC within 1 year of hire.
  • At least 2-years of relevant work experience required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
