About The Position
Allegiant Home Care, an AccordCare company, provides home care services across New York State, with a mission to promote independence, preserve dignity, and improve patients’ quality of life. The Per Diem Registered Nurse provides direct, hands-on nursing care to patients in their homes, primarily in New York City. The nurse monitors patients’ health, provides emotional support and guidance to patients and families, and helps patients live safely and comfortably at home. The role offers flexible scheduling, with hourly morning and evening shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. The base pay rate is $65 per hour.
Requirements
- Current and valid New York State RN license.
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to care plans and protocols.
- Compassionate, reliable, and excellent communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in home care or a similar setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and medical procedures.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and communicate updates to the care team.
- Collaborate with family members and caregivers to provide education and support.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment for patients.
- Comply with state regulations and organizational policies regarding home health care.
