About The Position

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or a valid multistate RN license with authorization to practice in Washington State.
  • 0-2 years of registered nursing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and work with outside agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN
  • Mental health & chemical dependency experience.
  • Experience with electronic charting.
  • Knowledge of local resources and services for individuals who are homeless or low-income and those experiencing chronic behavioral health challenges or having histories of involvement in legal system(s).
  • Mental Health Professional per WAC 246-341-0515.
  • Experience in the direct treatment of persons who have a mental illness or who are emotionally disturbed, such experience gained under the supervision of a mental health professional per RCW 71.34.020.

Responsibilities

  • Providing quality health care services to all clients including assessing somatic conditions and medical needs.
  • Communicating with team members to determine appropriate treatment protocols and courses of action.
  • Creating a favorable group climate for the effective treatment of each enrolled client.
  • Performing clinical tasks to support the provision of quality and cost-effective medical services to behavioral health clients within the Behavioral Health Division.
