About The Position

This posting is for a Non-Rep Registered Nurse position. The role involves providing nursing and school-related healthcare needs for students, parents, and staff. It includes supervision of unlicensed staff performing nursing duties according to the Nurse Practice Act, working with and delegating to Paraeducators or Health Room Assistants, and ensuring the delivery of appropriate health care services and a safe school environment. The on-call school nurse may also perform screening programs with assistance and make appropriate follow-up referrals.

Requirements

• Valid Washington State Registered Nursing (RN) or Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
• First aid- and CPR certification preferred.
• Valid Washington State driver's license.
• Knowledge of nursing profession and emergency skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District staff, volunteers, parents, and community resources.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Ability to coordinate programs.
• Ability to supervise others.
