About The Position

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse for their Medicine/Oncology Unit. This is a temporary full-time, 14-week assignment on the night shift. The unit is a varied Med/Surg mixed unit that cares for patients with various conditions including CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Diabetes, Sickle Cell, and end-of-life care, in addition to oncological patients. Nurses will gain experience in procedures such as wound vacs, high-risk medication infusions, telemetry, trach care, chest tubes, and peritoneal dialysis. The department encourages staff to join hospital committees and values teamwork and new ideas.

Requirements

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
NIH stroke scale.
Two or more years of current acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

Caring for oncological patients.
Caring for patients with CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Diabetes, Sickle Cell, and end of life.
Performing procedures such as wound vacs, high-risk medication infusions, telemetry, trach care, chest tubes, and peritoneal dialysis.
Joining hospital committees to share ideas.
Collaborating with team members and welcoming new ideas.
