About The Position
The Virginia Military Institute Infirmary is seeking a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse. This is a salaried 10-month position with full state benefits. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide nursing services in a fast-paced student health clinic for 1,600 students. Conduct initial patient assessments and monitor changes in condition. Communicate with on-call medical providers as needed. Administer medications and provide treatments as needed.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable working independently within the scope of LPN licensure.
- Must be proficient in computer skills.
- Requires graduation from accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Excellent nursing assessment and communication skills.
- Comfortable in urgent nursing care of adolescent patients.
