About The Position

Indiana University Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit at Ball Memorial in Muncie, Indiana. The unit monitors and evaluates patients who do not meet criteria for inpatient admission but are not ready to go home or need further observation. It offers a fast-paced environment where nurses can connect with patients and develop assessment skills. The unit is described as a very engaged, positive, close, and interactive team of fewer than 20 members, and it has Magnet designation.

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) degree.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates without graduation from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

Responsibilities
