About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED) - Level 1 Trauma Center. This is a Full Time position for the Evening Shift, working from 3pm to 3am. A Sign-On Bonus is available for qualified candidates, and Relocation Assistance is also offered. The Norfolk General Hospital's Emergency Department is a 53-bed unit and a Trauma One Facility equipped to handle a variety of medical emergencies, with approximately 10% being trauma-related. The department has received the Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses' Association, recognizing exceptional leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is the region's first Magnet Hospital, a 525-bed medical center, a primary teaching facility, and home to the area's only Level 1 Trauma Center within a 126-mile region. The facility includes four intensive care units and two intensive care units within its 112-bed Nationally Ranked Heart Hospital.
