About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst offers a continuum of care with the security of lifecare, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support on campus. We are seeking a hardworking professional Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time, day shift position every Friday. Park Place of Elmhurst is part of the Providence Life Services family, dedicated to enhancing the lives of those they serve.

Requirements

Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Nursing license must be active and unencumbered.
Must be CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

BLS certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to clients and manage daily activities of Certified Nursing Assistants.
Ensure client needs are met according to professional standards and physician orders.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Assist clients in meeting goals through assessment and monitoring of care needs, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and physicians.
Educate and guide clients and families on disease processes and management.
Manage CNAs in compliance with PLS policies and regulations.
Document nursing notes descriptively, reflecting care provided and resident response, including skilled nursing documentation.
Identify residents before administering medication or treatment.
Ensure adequate medical supplies are available and report needs to the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.
Provide direction and leadership to CNA staff.
Receive and review nursing reports at the start of the shift and compile reports at the end of the shift.
Assess and report changes in resident's medical condition to the appropriate authority.
Ensure care is provided in accordance with federal and state regulations and resident wishes.
Monitor vital signs according to the resident's treatment plan.
