About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department plans, directs, coordinates, and provides high-quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. The role reports to the Emergency Director of Patient Care Services/Shift Manager.

The position is full time and includes rotating shifts and holiday rotation. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Graduation from nursing school.
• At least 2 years of emergency nursing, flight nursing, or intensive care experience; the posting also specifies 2 years of emergency or ICU experience.
• Maintain a current California RN license.
• Maintain ACLS and PALS certifications; new graduates must obtain them within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Obtain TNCC; the posting specifies within a stated timeframe for new graduates or nurses new to the Emergency Department, though the timeframe is incomplete in the text.
• Obtain NIHSS education within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit and maintain it thereafter.
• Obtain ENPC within 6 months of hire.
