Requirements

  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • Information to support eligibility must be provided on the application (i.e., relevant, detailed experience/education).
  • If claiming education, must attach a copy of college transcripts.
  • Application must be submitted by the posting closing date.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer medications and ensure proper storage following established procedures
  • Schedule medical appointments and maintain timely communication with medical providers and staff
  • Maintain organized medical records and verify documentation, reports and medical bills
  • Address resident medical needs promptly and provide health and wellness education
  • Provide emergency care to employees and residents until proper medical treatment is available
  • Adhere to confidentiality, safety and reporting requirements under federal, state and agency regulations
