About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join their team and collaborate with top medical professionals. This role is on the 5E Med/Surg unit, which has 30 beds dedicated to respiratory, infectious diseases, and general Med/Surg care. The unit offers opportunities for professional growth, including earning a certification in Med Surg/Progressive Care. The unit culture emphasizes teamwork, cohesion, and mutual support, making it a great place for new RNs to start their careers. Nurses on this unit will gain skills in Med Surg/Progressive Care certifications, develop strong bedside and procedural skills, understand a variety of treatments due to the acuity adaptable nature of the unit, and improve time management and flexibility while managing patients of varying acuity levels.

Requirements

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience
