The Registered Nurse demonstrates professional development and clinical competency utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience in a Med/Surg setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification required

Responsibilities
- Manage pre/post care for surgical and endoscopy patients
- Provide intraoperative care for surgical and endoscopic procedures
- Deliver safe, effective post-anesthesia care in PACU
- Ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and adherence to perioperative standards
- Maintain the integrity of the sterile environment during cases
- Assist in preparing rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical and endoscopy cases
- Facilitate clear communication and accurately document patient care
- Care patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric with time-sensitive illness and/or injury.
- Provide rapid intervention to prevent death or disability
- Facilitate optimal health restoration to patients
- Educate patients and their families about medications and treatment.
- Assist physicians during examinations and/or procedures
- Records patient medical information in EMR
- Administer different types of medication
- Use specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors and ventilators
- Chart Review per standard of care and quality measures
