About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN), provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. The role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to support optimal patient outcomes. This position serves patients who are underserved and vulnerable in a mission-driven, people-first organization. Ongoing training and development opportunities, clinical resources, education, and point-of-care support are available to healthcare team members. The posting lists a $15,000 bonus, subject to RVP approval.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Have and maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
This position is available only to people who reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary.
Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting as required by policy.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel, or other staff as necessary.
Provide patient education and activities in accordance with competencies and education.
